BesteBakken, a farmhouse built in 1910 has been transformed into a luxury hotel. Rich in culture and tradition, the hotel’s redesigned guest bathrooms utilize a variety of Meganite’s color.
For high traffic bathrooms, the key concern was to find a surface that was hygienic, easy to care for, resists stains, and could be easily repaired. Meganite’s non-porous properties keep the surface protected from high water contact, limiting bacteria and mold growth around the space.
Comparing with other surfacing materials:
Though popular, granite and marble are expensive and prone to cracking, making them far from perfect options. Solid surface never experiences the same through-body cracks that sometimes affect natural stone. If a solid surface countertop suffers damage, you can make small surface repairs to stains and scratches by sanding, an impossible feat when caring for a cultured marble vanity top.
